DAY 01: Arrive in Chennai
On arrival, transfer to hotel.
DAY 02: Chennai-Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram
After breakfast, take city tour of Chennai. In the afternoon, leave
to Mahabalipram en-route visit Kanchipuram. On arrival in
Mahabalipuram, check in at your pre-booked hotel.
DAY 03: Mahabalipuram
In the morning, visit Mahabalipuram - a city located on the beaches
of the magnificent Bay of Bengal that offers you a splendid ensemble
of temples carved from rocks.
DAY 04: Mahabalipuram-Pondicherry
After breakfast, leave for Pondicherry. On arrival, check in at
hotel. Afternoon, have sightseeing of Pondicherry.
DAY 05: Pondicherry-Trichy
After breakfast, leave for Trichy. On arrival, check in at hotel.
Afternoon, visit Trichy - the Rock Temple, Sri Jambukeshwara Temple
& St. John's church.
DAY 06: Trichy-Srirangam-Tanjore-Madurai
After breakfast, leave for Madurai. En-route, visit the Sri
Rangaswamy temple at Srirangam. After visiting Srirangam, continue
drive to next stopover - Tanjore. At Tanjore, visit the
Brihadeshwara temple & fort built by Raja Raja Chola. Also visit
the Thanjavur Palace. Continue drive to Madurai. On arrival, check
in at the hotel.
DAY 07: Madurai
After breakfast, visit Madurai - one of the oldest cities in South
India and has been a center of learning & pilgrimage for
centuries. Visit Madurai's main attraction - Sri Meenakshi temple.
DAY 08: Madurai-Periyar
After breakfast, leave for Periyar. On arrival in Periyar, check in
at your pre-booked hotel. Afternoon, game viewing at the wild life
park.
DAY 09: Periyar-Kottayam-Allepey-Cochin
After breakfast, leave for Cochin. En-route, disembark from the
vehicle at Kottayam to do a very pleasant stretch up to Allepey in
boats on the backwaters of Kerala. At Allepey board our car/coach
which awaits you to drive you to Cochin. On arrival in Cochin, check
in at your pre-booked hotel. In the evening, witness a Kathakali
dance show.
DAY 10: Cochin
After breakfast, visit Cochin - the city of lagoons. Visit the Dutch
Palace, St. Cruz Cathedral, the church of San Francisco, the
Bolghatty Islands. Afternoon, free for individual activities.
DAY 11: Cochin-Bangalore (By Flight: IC 923: 1305-1520 HRS)
Transfer to airport to board flight for Bangalore. On arrival in
Bangalore, transfer to pre-booked hotel.
DAY 12: Bangalore-Hassan
After breakfast, leave for Hassan, en-route visiting Srivanabelagola
- an important Jain religious center - a colossal Gomateshwara
statue. Arrive Hassan & check in at hotel. Afternoon, take
excursion to Hoysala Temples of Halebid & Belur.
DAY 13: Hassan-Mysore
After breakfast, leave for Mysore. On arrival in Mysore, check in at
hotel. Afternoon, visit the magnificent city on the foothills of
Mount Chamundi. Visit the Mysore Palace, the palace gardens, the
handicraft center & the Chamundi Hills.
DAY 14: Mysore - Chennai (by train)
Morning, free at leisure. In the afternoon, transfer to the railway
station to board train for Chennai at 1420 hrs. Arrive in Chennai at
2125 hrs and transfer to pre-booked hotel.
DAY 15: Transfer to the international airport to board on
your international flight.
