DAY 02: Delhi
Sightseeing of the old and modern capital of India.
DAY 03: Delhi- Hyderabad
Fly to Hyderabad. Full day sightseeing of this 400 year old seat of
the fabulously rich Nizams. It is famous for pearls and jewelry. It
is also an Islamic center of Learning.
DAY 04: Hyderabad- Madras
Fly to Madras. Half day sightseeing. The British East India Company
founded Madras in 1639.
DAY 05: Madras- Mahabalipuram
Car/Coach drive to Mahabalipuram (Also Known as Mamallapuram), the
capital and sea port of Pallava Kings in 5th-8th Century A.D., to
see the rock carvings declared as world heritage by UNESCO. Back to
Madras.
DAY 06: Madras- Madurai
Fly to Madurai (Tue/Thu/Sat)
DAY 07: Madurai
Full day sightseeing at Madurai, known to the Greeks for its
breathtaking Dravidan Architecture in temples in 4th Century B.C.
through Megasthenes, Greek ambassador to the court of the emperor
Chandragupta Maurya.
DAY 08: Madurai- Peryar Wild Life Sanctuary
Drive to Peryar Wild life Sanctuary (144 km) to see wild life from
boat.
DAY 09: Cochin
Drive to Cochin. En-route, take a boat ride in the backwater lagoons
from Kottayam to Alleppey to see local life style.
DAY 10: Cochin
Drive on to Cochin. Cochin is a port city on the Arabian Sea. See
India's oldest church, 500-years-old Portuguese house and palaces, a
16th Century Jewish synagogue and a beautiful harbor.
DAY 11: Cochin
Harbour cruise at Cochin. In the evening, see authentic Kathakali
dance.
DAY 12: Cochin- Bangalore
Fly to the garden city Bangalore (Mon/WeDay Fri/Saturday), also
famous for its high-tech industries: Half Day sightseeing.
DAY 13: Bangalore- Mysore
Drive to Mysore, Known as Sandalwood City. It has lovely forts and
palaces, gardens and bazaars.
DAY 14: Mysore - Chennai
Morning, free. In the afternoon, transfer to the railway station to
board train for Chennai at 1410 hrs. Arrive in Chennai at 2125 hrs
and transfer to pre-booked hotel.
DAY 15: Transfer to the international airport to board on
your international flight
